Share your best PREP memory and any way in which you think your PREP experience has benefited you in your career.

“I don’t have one specific best memory of being involved in PREP, but what I can say is that being involved in PREP was one of my favorite experiences at Miami Law and undoubtedly has had a profound impact on my legal career.  Through being involved in PREP, I was able to collaborate with students who brought different experiences and interests to the table in a way that allowed us to develop interesting legal ethics presentations for members of the Miami legal community.  I particularly enjoyed the presentations, which allowed me to have valuable discussions with influential members of the legal community.  Through PREP, I developed strong analytical, writing, and speaking skills, while also learning how to think creatively about handling some of the more challenging situations lawyers face on a regular basis. “

Where have you been working since you graduated and where are you now?

“Since graduating from Miami Law, I moved to New Jersey, where I completed a judicial clerkship with the Honorable Joseph L. Rea in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Law Division, Middlesex Vicinage.  I then went to work for a well-known New Jersey law firm primarily dedicated to insurance coverage and insurance defense work, where I began to focus my practice on insurance coverage in the first-party context.  I then worked for a small general practice firm, where I continued to do some insurance coverage work, and also practiced medical malpractice and commercial litigation.  I now work for Kennedys, an international law firm based in London, which is focused on serving the insurance industry.  I work out of the New Jersey office, which is the United States headquarters, where I represent insurance carriers in complex coverage matters in the first- and third-party context, including environmental and products liability matters.”

Describe Miami Law in three words.

“Miami Law is innovative, diverse, and connected.”
