The Florida Bar recently collaborated with Legal.io., an artificial intelligence company, to launch an updated Lawyer Referral program.
In operation since 1972, the Florida Bar’s Lawyer Referral Service is a free-to-use resource for the public that “provides [bar] members with more than 70,000 referrals each year, generating an estimated $3.49 million in new business for members.”
The updated referral service not only provides enhanced performance and more efficient navigation, but also offers users the option of “selecting from 12 languages to receive help, choosing up to four different practice areas, as well as easily and confidentially making contact information available for respective referrals.”
Florida Bar President-elect John M. Stewart announced the updated program and stated that “we expect these improvements to significantly boost the number of our membership signing up, which also provide a more diverse and deeper pool of attorneys for Floridians to choose from.”
Moreover, the announcement ensures lawyers and the public that “the Lawyers Referral Service’s new website is regulatory compliant, ensuring participating members don’t run afoul of the Bar’s rules.”
